Harker's Barkers Dog Boarding Kennels is a small family run business, situated in beautiful open countryside on our farm near to Little Oakley situated roughly halfway between Kettering and Corby in Northamptonshire. We offer a caring, friendly environment and provide the best love and attention for any dog boarding with us. All our kennels are newly built, self contained and constructed mainly of insulating blocks, built to the highest standards and all comply over and above current model licensing conditions.
All our kennels are licensed regularly and inspected. Each kennel has 2 heaters which control the temperature in the day and also during the night. We maintain a very high standard of cleanliness and hygiene and recommendations are strictly adhered to. Each and every kennel is disinfected using Virkon S, which is the premier brand of broad spectrum virucidal veterinary disinfectants; no other disinfectant has the same powerful composition.
We have out of hours care onsite during the day and the evening when the kennels is closed. The whole farm yards, including the kennels, has 24 hour CCTV, which can accessed and checked at any time.

THE HARKERS BARKERS FAMILY
We are Trevor, Lesley, Joel & Max Harker and we are the owners of Harkers Barkers Boarding Kennels. Trevor’s family have farmed at Cobley Lodge for five generations and he has managed a mixed farm all his working life with milking cows and arable farming. Trevor has always owned an abundance of dogs. Lesley was a veterinary nurse before getting married (maiden name ‘Barker’) and has set up her own Preschool business on the farm The Udder Preschool Day Nursery and Forest School. Joel completed his animal related qualifications at moulton college back in 2007 and started the kennels business from the day it opened just short of 14 years ago, he now manages the kennels and farm business with the help of his cocker spaniels Maggie & Mable. Max also completed his animal related qualifications back in 2017 at moulton college, Max has a active role working in the kennels as well as on the Farm with the help of his cocker spaniel Clover.
